We are currently going through a very exciting stage of growth and development at Entia and require a design engineer to join our team. You will work collaboratively with an R&D team of designers, engineers and product managers developing a product that will allow patients to manage life-changing health conditions at home.


What you'll do:


  • Product development from concept, proof of principle testing, through to manufacturing.

  • Hands-on prototyping, model making and testing.

  • Create and own design documentation, including technical drawings (BS 8888) and liaising with our manufacturers.

  • Use creative practical thinking to solve R&D problems.

  • Use your knowledge of mechanical design to develop viable solutions.


You are:


  • Self-motivated.

  • A graduate, or early in your career path.

  • Someone who has excellent attention to detail.

  • Someone who has excellent visual and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to collaborate closely with other disciplines and project stakeholders throughout the business.


You must have:


  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques (injection moulding, machining, 3D printing etc. ) and material.

  • Parametric and surface 3D CAD modelling (Solidworks) experience.

  • Finite Element Analysis and simulation, along with solid mechanics experience.

  • The ability to generate and communicate ideas through different mediums.
